Since everybody’s giving their two pence about Instagram stories I thought i’d finally weigh in, here are my thoughts.
For starters, the most distinguishable feature from Snapchat, apart from the lack of face filters, is the picture upload feature. Instagram allows you to upload pictures from your photo library taken in the last 24 hours. Obviously life as we know, is not lived 24 hours at a time so this is a great feature that can be hacked; you can easily save a graphic or video you’ve done and upload it at your leisure.
This transforms the feature from a short lived video experience to a platform with the power to upload your work or promote over and over again.
First Instagram made the square format popular now, phone size format will become just as popular
